Fatal collision – Coleshill, near Amersham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Coleshill, near Amersham.

Shortly before 7.30pm on 11 October a blue Ford Mondeo traveling on the A355 Amersham Road from the direction of Amersham, was involved in a collision with a blue BMW 5 series traveling in the opposite direction.

The male driver of the Ford Mondeo died at the scene. The female driver of the BMW series sustained serious leg and arm injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she remains. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed while Roads Policing officers investigated the circumstances of the collision and it re-opened by midnight.

Investigating officer PC Dean Verges, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Amersham, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw this fatal collision or saw the vehicles traveling prior to the collision.

“If you have any information which could assist the investigation please contact police.”
